Chesterfield U19's played them at the start of the month and got battered 6-0 themselves.
I'd say our youth lads now are better equipped to stand up to it.

Ripped Ollerton apart as well by taking vast majority of the team with him 3/4 of the way into the season. Ollerton still trying to recover from it now

I don't really know, it's not like he moved up a level.
Ollerton finished above Shirebrook last season even after losing every game since he announced he was leaving.

Must be for financial reasons.

Players follow managers around at that level.....noy unusual for a manager to change clubs and a number of players to move with them eventually.

Shirebrook are being backed financially......

Shirebrook were nowhere near full strength Tuesday night but still had a squad of first teamers playing (Two main Centre half were missing as was their probable front two too)....but MTFC fully deserved the win, it was a crackin match

Shirebrook did the dirty on Clipstone tonight. They'd agreed a pre season fixture weeks ago but Shirebrook cancelled it Tuesday and suddenly had a home game tonight against Buxton instead. Coincidence? Course not.

Agreed...doesnt sit right with many supporters of STFC, but then again, quite a few new things don't.
Always been a crackin community club and 20 years ago they had a squad of local lads and a team playing easily 2 or 3 steps below there potential level.
Those local lads never really got replaced and apart from one or two seasons with Canny in charge they havent had much success since.

The ground has now never looked so good and as mentioned before the playing surface is now very good too
I personally think some at the club think believe they are above the level they are at.......could be a long season for them as it is a strong league even though I hope they are successful and I will visit whenever I can.

Buxton won 4-2 last night in another cracking game, another depleted STFC squad due to Covid and injuries but they gave a strong Buxton side a good game in front of 230+ fans.

Anyway....back on topic, with the injuries to Swan and Oates, I really would like to see Abdullah get 20+ mins v Rotherham on Saturday with the first team.

Agreed - it would be really interesting to see how he fares in a game like that as well as being excellent experience.

My mate reffed it and said Derby were very very good.
I think Derby won 5-0.

It wasn't cancelled by them because they're trying to get another game in and are now playing Clipstone tomorrow night instead. I think someone is telling you porkies again ;)

Read my post.....Its not hard to work out why SPS would want the game calling off.

Read their tweet. It’s clear as day it was Shirebrook who called it off.

Been to Clippo v Stocksbridge tonight, sounds like Shirebrook are upsetting a lot of people for some reason. Also confirmed it was them who called the game off the other day at short notice yet again.

Saw some of our staff there watching including Jamie Maguire (to get it back on topic!)
