I heard a rumour that it was indeed Danny Hylton but his wife refused to move this way.

I would be surprised at that though as who would you drop to accommodate him? He wouldn't move to sit on the bench.

how could it be when his contract hasn’t been terminated at LUscum, therefore would have been a loan ?

dosent make sense does it ?

The delay is quite strange considering Carolyn implied it was done.

How opinions can differ u thought he looked crap when he came on.

I liked the looks of Scott Wilson though and I thought Nath Cameron was by far there best defender.

was it Welch-Hayes who played left back for Macc yesterday with the dreds ?

he had CJ in his pocket first half, very impressed with their left back anyway looked a real find

I think he was the No 14 I mentioned earlier, I thought he was terrific and the best player on the pitch.

Miles Welch-Hayes number 14... played for Bath before Macc, only 22. Sure he'll end up somewhere better

Welch-Hayes did have a good game. He didn't play in the game earlier in the season - was on the bench.

Just watching the League 2 highlights on You Tube. I thought Col U had signed Mo Eisa. Turns out it's his brother.

Crewe were surprised not to receive any bids for their young players in the transfer window. It's a bit worrying for young players if the likes of Crewe start to question their strategy.

Fans Forum

Q: Can we balance the books at 3,500 attendances?

A from John Bowler (Chairman): No, but out business strategy has always been to balance the books by selling players. We give a lot of tickets away to youngsters in the hope they come and enjoy it. We try to find ways of getting them to adopt Crewe. We were disappointed. We did think we’d get offers and we didn’t. I think it’s the first January I haven’t had another chairman ring me up. We are living in a changing industry, we are looking very seriously about the academy, how it works, can we develop it, what is changing. This is not because we think we have it wrong, but is our strategy good for the future?

Charles Grant (Director): Frankly we need to make transfers in July because that’s how the club works.

Lincoln are clearly getting ready for League 1 if the Lincolnshire Echo are publishing details of 100 Championship Players who will be available for free next season. A lot of these players seem to be older players who have played at a high level and who are now dropping down the leagues.

Tom Elliott and Lee Gregory at Millwall caught my eye. They would be on big wages though. Lee Gregory has also been playing regularly for Millwall and has scored 8 goals in The Championship.

I also like Maris at Cambridge.
Miller would be a 100% yes for me.
All signable I think.

We need to be looking at signing the better players in league 2 I think rather than league 1 players.
This clearly didn't work.

I posted this the other week on the new striker thread forest town stag.

As above, Maris is being looked at by Championship teams, so doubt he is signable.

Has Maris gone backwards or have we signed a brilliant player that has just lost his way a little.

I think its a brilliant signing.

You’ve done well to find that.

I think possibly a bit of both. A lot of Cambridge fans saying he hasn’t been the same for the last two seasons. But Cambridge are a club with very little ambition it would seem from the outside, so maybe a hanger of scenery will do him good.

Not much call for things theatrical atm. I think he should stick to football.
