Dorking is well known for The Cockerel and the emblem is featured everywhere in the town.

They will keep trying to make a dodgy rule up that gets them promoted . Such as being drawn out of a hat . But they have to realise all the others teams have to be in the hat too..

Not if they're the ones hosting it. Allegedly.

See that’s a prime example, if anyone had actually heard of dorking they’d know that, but alas no-one.

A mystery side.

The very best they can achieve is getting promoted in the same time period we did (and we did it as champions).

let’s see.

I think the novelty of some of the national league is fun for one year. Our first year wasn't that bad, enjoyed the new teams and grounds but after that its raspberry and you realise you're stuck there... you need to be back in a proper league asap. Feel for some of the sides that have been there for a while.

Wrexham went down with us.

Surely it has to be their year now.

We'd more than likely be still there too...or worse if JR and his OC cavalry not ridden to t'rescue.

You could say the same for a handful of teams in our division. I loved visiting the smaller teams in the conference.
I know it didn’t do much for the coffers when we had them at home but they are where they are on merit, usually.
It’s only a matter of time before it’s 3 up 3 down. I think the bottleneck is unfair.

It won't happen because it has to be voted in by the EFL clubs.
Given how many clubs we have lost over the years due to bankruptcy after going down there (Darlo, Hereford, R&D to name a few) no clubs in their right mind will ever vote it in.

Only way it'll ever happen is if it becomes an EFL League 3 in my opinion.

To be a member of the Football League you have to earn it, be the best.
We don't want a League full of Slafords, Harrogate's, Morecambe's and Stevenages who bring a couple of car loads of fans in a Saturday.
Sooner have Wrexham, Clownty etc earn it and come up and not through some back door opportunity.
However the sheep can rot down there forever.

Isn't that contradictory, spiro?

Teams have to earn it, but only if they have a good fan base?

You dont earn any points for having large crowds.

Should we never aim for the championship? After all we have a poor fan base for that league. We would have earnt it.

Imagine being a club whose own badge celebrates how pee poor they are at building a church.

TBF on Blob's Bored their fans called this out straight away & were praising the fact that the culprit was chucked out.

Hate to say it but I think they’ll pip Wrexham to the title this season. I hope they don’t.

I think County are the ones to watch, made some clever signings. But either way can’t see anyone getting close to Wrexham.

And we’re not whiter than white, sure we had a similar incident in a game at the mill last season with someone removed.
