I’m now convinced that although most other clubs dislike us, the football Gods hold us in high esteem. Having shot ourselves in the foot with yesterdays non performance, they’ve cheered us up by smiting our nemesis just as they were starting to gain momentum.

Great news. Genuinely couldn't deal with them singing "you did it in five years, we did it in four"

I'd like them to raise their standards if possible though, rather than merely making us both rubbish, but us less rubbish than them. Like two tramps fighting over a penny.

We got play off semis after year 4 and then went up as champions in year 5. No pressure.

Be even better if Solihull beat Grimsby in the final too.

Don’t know about that. We always struggle with new clubs in League 2
Harrogate Barrow Sutton etc

No, I mean it'll be harder for the cheats if both Grimsby and Wrectum are in that league next season. Expect Notts, Oldham and Halifax to compete too. Torquay and Daggers are also on the up.

Solihull are a decent side and Neil Ardley has done a good job. I like Joe Sbarra who was at Burton with Nigel Clough. Harry Boyes is a good left back on loan from Sheff Utd. Andy Dallas has been smashing in the goals up front.

Less money to throw at it next season, can't see their star man hitting the same form once he's back either.

Massive job for cook to get them out that league, against Wrexham who are still there and will go for it again.

I agree that Wrexham should be favourites for automatic. I'm sure the Hollywood gang will throw more money at their Soccerball folly. If Oldham sort out their ownership issues they could bounce straight back. So max of one from County / Spirites or hopefully neither.

And they were proper playoffs too, not all this 1 legged stuff they had.

They wouldn’t have qualified for the playoffs in the format we qualified in, and we finished 3rd rather than 7th.

I am gutted about saturday but the idea of chesterfield and county playing the mighty dorking does make it a tad better
