A work colleague has a mate who plays for them. Even he says a lot of the players can’t stand the manager. He told me that about a fortnight ago. Seems like it’s more than a lot lol.

Rumours of it being bullying against the opposite sex now.
He's known locally to have been sliding into women's DM's quite a bit, denying he even has a Mrs when he evidently has, and has a young child too.

Always came across as someone who thinks he's better than everyone else.

According to Bob's Board he had a big falling out with George Foster as well.

The reason George Foster left Cheaterfield was never fully explained. Webb was brought in as assistant manager and apparently George Foster was asked to accept a lower job ( scout ? ).

A Cheaterfield fan I know, also told me Rowe was on a final warning following alleged bulling of a member of staff, who left.

Only rumours, but it makes you wonder.

Might be worth sticking a 50k bid in for that tshimanga seeing as they'll be needing all the cash they can get to cover legal fees. Save them shaking the buckets again.

Doubt they'll incur legal fees if they have grounds to sack him, which it looks like they do.

Legal issues they comply with, it is moral issues that they do not have a grasp of. I.e. furlough, Ernie Moss’s testimonial, lottery winners etc etc etc.

Unless of course Chambta has a prize ewe called Moral issues then he would have a really strong grasp involving the sheeps back legs in his wellies.

This is unbelievable stuff.

Is James Rowe threatening a player on the Spireites bench or a Maidenhead fan?

"Come and say the same thing in there" (tunnel/dressing room)

From my experience most of these situations end in some sort of compromise - saves all the hassle of a tribunal and washing dirty linen in public.

I doubt there are any winners here.

If this behaviour is typical the next question will be who knew and why weren’t steps taken before

Strikes me that the "millionaire manager" can't hack it when things start to go wrong.

He seems to blame everyone rather than himself.

My first visit to Blob's Board for ages. Some interesting posts

"Stagsnet will be on 600 pages by end of tonight"

"I can’t believe anyone can be surprised by this. He has constantly treated staff, players, and back office staff disgracefully. Yes we are top of the league but let’s give credit to the Community Trust as well….. massive investment. The “noise” and facts from very experienced members of the club have been for months “it’s all about Rowe”…….don’t mind aggression at pitch side when it is managed but too many times he throws out the dummy!!"

"By all accounts he is extremely difficult to manage. What James wants….ranging from players to light bulbs and car park spaces!!"

"As for Rowe, I'm sad to say I can only echo the sense of inevitability emanating from others. Let's be clear; JR can't be a total ogre as a succession of players have performed well enough for him to deliver success. However there's been a troubling 'underground car park' narrative of ugly behaviour too. To the point it's no surprise to witness a wry satisfaction in certain quarters."

"The churn in playing and backroom staff has been a major concern of mine for some time now because it is not normal for a club of our size."

"He's poisoned George Foster, rolled him up in the old frost cover, and chucked him in the canal."

"Sheridan got plenty of jobs after his incredible tirade at that lino - including "I'm gonna knock you out you c**t" - so yeah, Rowe will walk into other jobs."

"Remember a few years ago, Keith Hill offering to fight a Chesterfield fan in the car park after the game, because of some abuse he got from behind the dugout. After listening to the James Rowe video, Keith Hill was probably worse."

"Season is well and truly goosed. We will shortly be back to step one. After Eastleigh I think we can forget about 6000 home fans for a very, very long time"

"Got it from a reliable source that Rowe has been definitely sacked.because of fighting with Grimes and losing dressing room. also went on to say club talking to Halifax manager .and that cookie said he would come back and help club out . and before anyone asks I can't say who's told me . As I promised that I wouldn't do so. so its no good asking me . hopefully club will issue a statement soon."

"You will find I understand that things have been going on for some time. I'm told everyone but the board were aware of things. The board found out at the weekend and took action. That is when all amount of other things come out."

From some local journalists last night:
"Regarding the James Rowe situation: spoke to a credited person just before the announcement. This is what he/she said: “I won’t go into specifics but this has been coming for a while now. James’s lack of decorum and respect for certain members of staff is clear.”

"2 managers described James Rowe as 'The most arrogant' manager they'd ever come across in their careers. Senior member of staff at the club once told me he often calls at silly o'clock demanding things 'throws his toys out the pram' if they say it'll keep til morning."

"Another account back at the start of the season, referred to Rowe as Jekyll & Hyde, in how he acts behind the scenes & infront of fans. A representative of Gloucester during their game at Alfreton this season wouldn't comment further, but said they were well rid of him."

Loads of rumours flying about from he's been involved with bribery, tried to get a payday from kabingo sale to bulling and harassing staff and players who have all complained about him

No longer top of the league. Stockport now top. At one point Stockport were 16 points adrift of Cheaterfield. Bad time for this mess to happen for them.

Great night in the National League. Stockport win 3-0, Boreham Wood beat Halifax, Wrexham beat Grimsby with a goal from Ollie Palmer and Bromley and the Daggers win as well.....and County only draw against Wealdstone.

They’re no longer top, so some joker on blobs bored says they’d rather be chasing the pack anyway.
