Took a bit of time to look through their squad... its so much worse than any squad we had in non league..

I was expecting to find one or two decent players but apart from Robbie Weir the rest are below average non league lads and some kids. Think they'd even struggle in the league below.

Nailed on relegation.

5 points adrift of safety. 17 games to go. They can easily escape, but little suggests they will.

Fingers crossed.

Our celebrations when we won there a couple of years ago now feel a bit embarrassing, a bit like picking on a weedy kid.

To think we used to regard them as rivals.

I'm worried that if their new owners wanted to make money they might print this whole thread off and make it into a book, I'd probably buy it

Picking on a weedy kid? Remember them having three sides of the ground, remember them sticking the banner up in the A617, remember the playoffs, remember their ‘Scab’ chants, etc., etc?

They are our only rivals and their position in the league, as they did with ours, should be treated with glee and a smile. After all they have done and will do the same with us.

Exactly. I don't see them as a weedy kid. Their fans still think they're some sleeping giant that will inevitably regain it's 'rightful place' above us in the league. They've ridden the wave of luck and prospered from cheating for decades, giving them a false impression of what that level is. Well now it's caught up with them. They're still a big club for that level based on ground and fan base, and they'll probably come back to League 2 level at some point, but let's enjoy every second of this while it lasts. If they spend another 15 years in non-league, I'll be delighted.

I agree, I have no sympathy for them.

When they took the piss when we were under haslam with all the above that’s been mentioned they were commenting and poking fun on something they had no clue about, no idea how bad it was under him and how bad conference football is.

Now they get to experience first hand all of that and understand how it felt when we were on the receiving end of it. The only difference is we know what they’re experiencing and how they’re feeling, and it’s pretty grim.

I hope their fans keep that in the fact in their back of their heads everytime they lose to someone like Solihull, like everytime Sheridan goads them, like everytime they look at the conference table.

The ultimate irony and case of what goes around comes around.

I have no sympathy at all. None, nil, zilch.

They got away with cheating twice and still gained promotion each time.

I have an acquaintance who has been involved in one of the takeover bids. In his opinion, most of the bids are well intended, but sadly, too many people are pulling in different directions.
He believes that demotion and part-time beckons.
He also said its unclear what will happen, as regards the pigeon crap covered all seater stadium. Carson was unwilling to talk about this in the bid he was involved in. The accepted trust bid may have to rent the ground, which could create huge issues.

Personally, I want them to spend at least six years {preferably 15} in obscurity, so it creates lethargy and destroys their fan base and the likes of Matlock, Belper Town and Alfreton become their equals.
Afc Chesterfield 20/20 has a nice ring to it.
Why do the two football teams I support always let me down.

I have less than no sympathy for them, delighted to sit back and watch them burn. My point simply related to how far they’d fallen, and long may it continue.

Give it a chuffin rest. John's gone. He was loyal club servant. The fact you lay the blame for where it's gone wrong over the last 10months solely at his door is warped. From Feb last year the rot began, not July.

There’s many on Bobs Board reckon that they can get Neil Warnock (Got a House in Baslow apparently) to parachute in and put everything right.
