As well as blaming the officials again they are now blaming the pitch having too many rubber granules which slowed the ball down.
This was why their keeper got sent off you know, as, if the ball had bounced through to him he wouldn’t have had to come out and stamp on their player on the way back.
It also impacted on their silky passing game, but only after they got pegged back from 2 - 0 up

Just like a massdebating scarecrow, clutching at straws :D

Their new keeper, who has a history of being sent off, gets sent off in the first half and they don't put a sub keeper on the bench. Classic :D

I went to grab a beer from the fridge to toast our win, but just slightly irritated with Chesterfield 2 up. By the time I’d fetched it and cracked it open it was 2 all.

Difficult to decide who I most wanted to lose this one. Obviously dislike our neighbours over the M1, but for personal reasons I have a complete hatred of the Bedwetters. Still remain the only ground I visited where I witnessed 50 year men screaming abuse into the faces of 7 year old visiting fans. Vile club.

With the way they've both been bragging about their signings and prospects this season, I was expecting it to be like watching 1982 Brazil V Prime Barcelona.

Both sets of defenders were pretty terrible and slow.

Last time we played County I'm sure we took over 4k? 2nd in the league and they can't even match HALF our following. Tinpot non-league rubbish.

Over 7000 at Chesterfield tonight with 120 or so away fans. Most teams in league 1 and 2 won't get that. When will the Stags next get 7000+??

Next home league game I would think, Sept 10th. Be very surprised if we don't

We won't Martin, we are just as bad as they are, counting fans who don't attend is clearly wrong. We rightly gave the Direites stick for doing it, now you think its acceptable, it isn't. The attendance is the number of fans who go to the game, its not a difficult definition to grasp.

In fairness it must take some real dedication for chesterfield fans to keep turning up to watch their side constantly fail and play against pub sides, fair play to them.

Safe in the knowledge that the only way chesterfield could match mansfield in non league is to win the league outright this season - their 5th in the bananarama in a much weaker league than the one mansfield won - maybe this is a motivation for them.

I wonder what our little inferior neighbours will get upto. i note the next time we’re both at home chesterfield entertain the mighty gateshead while mansfield welcome bradford.

A fair representation of where both sides are

spot on, the attendance against stockport and tranmere was fake, not real.

From a fan perspective i’m embarrassed by it, the attendance against stockport clearly wasn’t 6,900 and everyone in the ground knew it.

However, we seem to make up the attendance now, even when it’s wrong

7094 with 129 away fans and I bet 1500 of them weren't even there. And you got lucky tonight. Had your keeper not made a load of saves you'd have lost. You only come on here when you're doing well, typical of you lot.
