Harrogate’s No2 giving the Cheats both barrels after the goals.

I like that

They spent a lot on it when they built the stadium. It's meant to have a type of grass that Premier League clubs use with massive roots making it hard to pull out and therefore cut up.
I remember when it was first laid, in the off season you could pay them for your Sunday League team to play on there, they did a package and your team got a kit thrown in with it as well. Sometimes there were several games a day played on there.
The pitch still held up to that too.

They’ve also got some sort of special drainage system that only Man Utd & one other club have got (I forget who).

They’ll stop up

However, did we actually ever get into a state as bad as what they’re in? I don’t recall knocking around in the conference relegation zone for months on end

With the news coming out from Barnet already, and the fact they have a chairman who doesn't want to be there and is sick of putting running costs in every month, this Corona Virus could end up finishing them off.

Also his casino business could be set to struggle with the current restrictions.

I think it would be madness to take over a football club during the crisis. Especially as we don't know when the next gate money will be forthcoming.

On the other hand CV might present a golden opportunity for fans groups to pick clubs up for next to nothing as their present owners get increasingly desperate to sell up.

Good point. As I understand it he's making a big loss.

Some local business man, may jump in now and scupper the Trusts bid.

Dave Allen’s main business income is (I believe) from the casino industry, imagine the hit that sector is about to take with social distancing.

Propping up the Cheats and funding massive losses from your main business hmmmmmmmmm

Sad times. Clubs like many businesses have to do what they can to survive, if they can support a few it’s better than none but that’s still no good for those that are released. Hopefully as a football community we can help each other rather than look after self interests.

Out of curiosity, could one of the extensive number of Stagsnet experts tell me if the Covid-19 virus can jump between species?

Asking for a mate of mine that lives in Chesterfield, who is self isolating but his ‘wife’ seems fine.
