I would think 10mins of football cost the Stags £50k . 3mins at Everton and about 7mins at Sheffield we’d . Radford will know that for sure and will not be happy .

How do you know that, 50k is 50k. JR has put a lot into the club already. I bet it all mounts up.

He puts his hands in his pockets on signing and wages. Management indicate who they want.

Id be rather annoyed if I was him.
When you think you know the answers, I change the questions

Even more than that I'd say.

£67,000 prize money for FA Cup 2nd round
45% of the gate for a full house at home to Newcastle
£20,000 for the EFL Trophy

That £50k would pay for a player to sign for around 6 months in January on £2k a week.

He was changed and out warming up with Quinn so not sure what happened there. I was talking to a scout who was there to watch him as they want to sign him on loan.

Thank You !

Let's have a bit of balance here. Fans have very short memories.

Nigel Clough has brought a huge amount of money into the football club.

2021-2022: Average Home Crowd of 5,157 which was the second highest since 1979-1980 (42 Years!!)
2022-2023: Average Home Crowd of 6,552. This is the highest since 1977-1978 when we were in The Championship!! (44 Years!!)
Record Season Ticket Sales: 4,450
League 2 Play Off Final: 37,303 attendance
League 2 Play Off Semi-Finals: 15,000 attendance
FA Cup 1st and 2nd Rd Wins for 2020-2021: £57,000
FA Cup 1st and 2nd Rd Wins for 2021-2022: £57,000
FA Cup 1st Rd Win for 2022-2023: £41,000
FA Cup 3rd Rd Attendance v Middlesbrough: 7,297
FA Cup 3rd Rd Attendance v Sheff Wed: 13,932
EFL Trophy (3 Wins and a Draw): £35,000

Nigel Clough has provided a massive financial boost to the football club. I'm sure JR as an astute business man is highly delighted and saying "Carry On Nigel."

As others have said you cannot compare this seasons, er, attendances with any other so you need to delete that line comparing it with 77/78 when more likely there were more in the ground than published (some of us young uns back then jumped over the turnstiles!). I'd also like to see a breakdown of the season ticket "sales" - ie full price, discounted and free before making a judgement on season ticket income - maybe they have that on Football Manager ;)

Clough and his team come at a very high price and I very much doubt the club is breaking even, this despite having a small squad and really fantastic support from the fans. Promotion is what Clough was brough in for, that is the be all and end all, we are still quite a way from that goal, which however you dress it up, is hugely disappointing for supporters and owner alike. Anything lower than 7th this season is pretty much a disaster, JR won't be around forever and as fans we may look back with much regret that we were unable to be successful despite the unprecedented investment from our owner.

The thing that would end it for Nige for certain, is if this season Clownty or God forbid the sheep aswell as Clownty climb out of the pit of Doom. Then both proceed to wave at us and laugh at us as they finish top 3 and go up, while the ex Burton boys and hotch potch of utility players assembled under him once again leave us mid table.
Theirs not to reason why
Theirs but to do and die
Into the valley of Death
