Ok, Here goes, I think the team will be:

532
Pym
Bowery Perch O'Toole Harbottle Macca
Clarke Hartigan Maris
Lapslie Oates

if Oates is injured then I think he could put Gordon at RWB and put Bowery up top. He could even put Bowery up top anyway with Oates and drop Lasplie back into midfield at the expense of Hartigan. I think that Quinn maybe given a rest.

IF 442.

Pym
Hewitt O'Toole Harbottle Macca
Hartigan
Clarke Quinn
Lapslie
Bowery Oates. 4

Dont think ive got one right so far like!

Stockport have a good squad and have spent a lot of money on it, they have a manager who knows us and their form has to change.

In the absence of Oates I would prefer to see Bowery back up top.

Pym

Gordon
JJ
Perch or Hawkins
Harbottle
Macca

Maris
Clarke
Quinn

Lapslie
Bowery

No reason to change the midfield in my opinion after such a good performance the other night in that area.

Personally I think he will opt for Swan up top. Hoping Hawkins and Boateng are back soon to play a part also.

Gutted to be missing this one, should be 7500 at least in the stands.

In the stands or just in the bank.

Could get interesting at about 2pm at Mansfield bus station if there are Pronto busses full of Spireites, heading to Nottigham for the late kickoff.

Edit: just seen they've only sold 1800  Pathetic support.

Have we stopped selling tickets online as today's game is not available for selection but advertised on the website as tickets available up to kick off time ??

This is type of game that teams that get promoted win

So Mansfield 2 - 1 winners
Don't think defence wish organised to keep clean sheet yet.
They will be soon.

I think Clough will go with:

Pym

Bowery
Harbottle
O’Toole
Perch
McLaughlin

Clarke
Maris
Quinn

Lapslie
Swan

I think they’ve probably hit the 10% under limit?

Good team. I’ve been really impressed with Hartigan from what I’ve seen. Quinn hasn’t been at his best, hope he’s not injured though? Pretty weak bench.

Decent side considering the circumstances.

With Quinn missing with presumably a knock he’s picked up, that makes it 8 players who’ve missed a league game through injury as of today and it’s only our 5th game of the season!

Perch
Hewitt
Akins
Quinn
Boateng
Hawkins
Wallace
Oates

All of the above missing or have missed games already. It’s incredible how injury riddled we are every season.

I wonder what the formation is.

3 - 5 - 2 would suggest up Lapslie and Swan front.

Maybe it's 3 at the back, two wing backs, a diamond of 4 and Swan up front (Lapslie just in behind).

Best selection we could have hoped for ,it will be interesting to see how lapslie performs today in an attacking type of role ,nice to see hawkins on the bench if we need him ,dont think we will though

It’s the same as Tuesday - 3-5-1-1 with Lapslie just behind the striker.

A decent starting 11. However, if we are chasing the game or if any of our forwards are injured or tired, our bench has very little attacking options. (I'm assuming that Hawkins whilst on the bench, is still carrying an injury?)
There are signs that our squad might not be big enough, nor balanced enough to cope with the long season ahead.
Furthermore this season, our opponents might be using up to 5 subs in each game - Therefore running with a small squad which might have worked a few years ago is not likely to be as appropriate today.
Let's hope that we bring in a couple of key players before transfer window closes ... and then we will also need a successful transfer window in January.

We have 2 forwards on the bench along with 1 at RWB. We've a RWB on the bench. Easy enough to sort out in that regards. If it's 1 up front then we only need to use 1 of them.

From the free kick it floated to the back and Macca(?) loses his header and it down to Pym.

Pym releases quickly and straight to a Stockport player who tries a shot with Pym 15 yards off his line but messes it up and we clear.
