I had a very good view of the red card incident, and fully expected a straight red. Surprised that there is video footage from a better angle. Certainly anything from the Bishop Street gantry would have been inconclusive.

The attendance is the amount of tickets sold, it's not difficult!

Question: If a man pays to go into the ground, but leaves before kick off, has he attended or not?

No it isn’t. Around 1,200 season tickets were sold through the pandemic but all the attendances were zero.

Ummmm, exactly :? If it went on tickets sold like you said earlier, then the 'attendances' for those games would have been 1200 despite no one being there. I think that's the point here anyway but who knows with this place???

The attendance is the number of people who attended the game.

It's not difficult, the term is chosen because it's the number of people at the match. "Tickets sold" is also a term, but it's completely different.

If a match is postponed five minutes before the gates open, for example, attendance is zero. Tickets sold might number 6000, but nobody attended. Under the new system, "attendance" at the postponed match will still be 6000, even though attendance was zero. You could have a record attendance at a match where nobody was allowed in!

You can gauge how fans are reacting to the season by the dwindling or surging attendances, and compare with previous seasons and with other clubs. But you need to know how many people attended.

Exactly the point I was making. Tickets sold and actual attendance are different.

It is precisely the point. Retro Rob is letting all the Rob's down on here

Mark, in your scenario he clearly attended - when he left isn't relevant :D
