Don't tell him your name Pike.

Do they have salary caps in the NL?

Or does FFP apply?

https://www.chad.co.uk/sport/football/n ... ps-3293705

I just answered my own question.

An ordinary resolution was voted in favour of by member clubs to introduce a salary cap from the 2022-23 season (the National League's minutes did not state amounts although it has been reported the suggested figures will be £900k per year for each Step One club and £540k per Step Two club).

How will that be enforced considering there’s some teams with huge budgets that won’t go up.

Keith Curle cleared his name because he sued Hasloan for wrongful dismissal and won around £80,000 in damages.

No idea. Probably why sides like Wrexham are splashing out now to avoid the incoming caps.

Funny really, this is the first I'm hearing of him being cleared.

Didn't garner quite the same level of coverage.

Did not mention his name deliberately, but did not know he successfully sued the club

Stags chief executive Keith Haslam told Radio Mansfield: "I am shocked, but that's the risk of going to court.

What a raspberry.

"The 42-year-old was sacked in December 2004, with the Stags - who he guided to the play-off final the season before - accusing him of bullying a youth-team player. Curle, who had a nine-month spell in charge of Chester until February this year, has always strenuously denied the allegations and quickly launched legal action against his former employers.

Manchester County Court Judge Field QC cleared Curle of any wrongdoing, saying that he had acted "appropriately, professionally and fairly" at all times, while describing Mansfield's disciplinary process as "a sham". Curle said: "I'm delighted. The case was never about money, but about clearing my name. I've got nothing against the Mansfield fans but this really was necessary to clear my name."

He seems to have matured. With us he used to run towards the corner flag with the ball in a strange jelly legs motion. Now he waits until he has scored.

I can half forgive him for that miss against the sheep lovers if he bags a few against them and the Bedwetters.

No wonder so many teams are throwing money at it this season. Chesterfield are raspberried next season and it’ll be beautiful.
