Graham Coughlan tells Radio Nottingham (video on iFollow Stags), 15 Sept 2020:

"The ideal would be to get him (Josh Scott) a little loan spell. Jimmy Knowles has popped out to Notts County, so we could see how Jimmy gets on and take Jimmy back in December, and then send Josh out so we don't have them all out at the same time. We've had one or two clubs inquire about Josh aleady."

Young forward signs professional deal
mansfieldtown.net, Sun 13 Sept 2020

We are delighted to announce that young forward Joshua Scott has signed a two-year professional contract with the club.

Scott made a huge impact on our under-18s' squad last season with his eye for goal and tremendous work rate.

The 18-year-old's performances for the Mansfield youth team caught the eye of first team boss Graham Coughlan.

The Stags' manager promoted him to first team duties in pre-season, with the attacker appearing for the amber and blue against Peterborough United and West Brom under-23s.

Academy manager Richard Cooper said: "As an academy we are absolutely delighted for Josh.

"Since entering our building 12 months ago, his attitude and application has been exemplary.

"He has truly earned his first professional contract. We hope he continues with this drive and dedication to truly fulfil his potential.

"The academy would like to say a big well done to Josh."
