Huddersfield Town v Mansfield Town

Huddersfield leading scorer Martin Smith will undergo a late fitness test on a back injury but winger Simon Baldry is out for at least another two weeks having picked up a thigh strain in training last Friday.

Wadsworth is also without goalkeeper Scott Bevan (groin), Nathan Clarke (knee) and midfielder Kenny Irons, who is unavailable due to a family illness.

Eddie Youds is still struggling with a damaged Achilles so on-loan Middlesbrough defender Jason Gavin will retain his place in the starting line-up, having made his debut against Colchester on Saturday.

Mansfield defender Rhys Day has escaped a three-match ban and is expected to feature at the McAlpine Stadium.

However, player-manager Keith Curle will sit out the clash as he serves the second game of a three-game suspension.

The black eye sustained by Adam Eaton in a collision with goalkeeper Keith Welch at the weekend will not prevent his inclusion.
