Gaffer delivers team news for Burton clash
mansfieldtown.net, Mon 11 Nov 2019

Stags' boss John Dempster says that the amber and blue will field a 'strong side' in tomorrow evening's Leasing.com Trophy clash at Burton Albion.

Despite sitting at the foot of the Group E table, a victory would see Mansfield progress to the knockout stages of the competition. The Stags will exit the Leasing.com Trophy at the group stage if a draw or defeat is obtained.

Ths boss has delivered some team news ahead of Tuesday evening's match, with the trio of Danny Rose, CJ Hamilton and Jacob Mellis all to feature.

"We'll be putting a strong side out against Burton," he said. "We know if we win the game, we go through, which would be good.

"It gives us more games going forward, which is a good thing for players that maybe haven't had enough game time.

"The likes of Danny Rose will play [against Burton], CJ Hamilton, Jacob Mellis, so I think it will be a good game of football.

"We've had some good bouts with Burton in the past, and we're looking forward to it."

GARRATT SET FOR BREWERS DEBUT
burtonalbionfc.co.uk, Mon 11 Nov 2019

BEN Garratt is set to make his Burton Albion debut tomorrow in the Leasing.com Trophy with first choice keeper Kieran O’Hara on international duty.

The Brewers take on Mansfield in the final group game looking to make the last 32 of the competition (kick off 7.45pm).

Nigel Clough will be without his three international players with Liam Boyce and Nathan Broadhead also called up.

He said: “Losing the international boys is a blow so Ben Garratt will get his first start for us and everyone else who is fit will be involved.

“Ben has good experience and we were very fortunate to find him out of contract and without a club and that meant we were able to get him in.

“He has impressed us so far and we will get to see him in a match tomorrow.”

Joe Sbarra is also in line for a key role.

Clough said: “Joe had a good 20 minutes on Saturday and he will start tomorrow and that will be good game time for him. We are looking for him to kick on and create something for us.

"Everybody we have available will probably have to play. With Richard Nartey and Reece Hutchinson not being right and Lloyd Dyer having an ankle injury we will be down to the bare bones.

“We want to get through to the last 32. There’s no reason at all we shouldn’t have a good run in the Leasing.com Trophy and any competition where you end up at Wembley is a great opportunity.“
