Stags bolster squad with loan signing
mansfieldtown.net, Fri 31 Aug Stags’ boss David Flitcroft has today bolstered his squad with the loan signing of left-sided central midfielder Timi Elšnik from Derby County until the end of the season. The Slovenian youth international reunites with the Mansfield manager after impressing on loan at Swindon last season, playing 26 times and scoring five goals. Speaking of the 20-year-old, David Flitcroft said: “Timi is a player I worked very closely with at Swindon. “He is a midfielder with a high quality passing range, creative in his work and who has the ability to score goals from midfield. “He is one of the best young professionals I have had the pleasure of working with and has great core values as a person. Elsnik spent last season on loan at Swindon Town in League Two, where he scored five goals from 26 appearances.
