mansfieldtown.net, 24 May 2018

The Stags Supporters' Association were delighted to be able to recently present John and Carolyn Radford with a cheque for £14,000 following their Annual General Meeting.

The money raised will go towards adding canopies to the Quarry Lane End to ensure fans stay dry whilst queuing for food and refreshments on that side of the ground.

SSA Chairman Dean Foulkes said: "SSA are continually in discussions with our club and are always open to looking for ways to help the board to move Mansfield Town forward on and off the pitch.

"Operations Director Tina Broughton identified the canopies as a key addition to the One Call Stadium and SSA were happy to donate £14,000 to ensure Stags fans are better protected from the elements whilst queuing for refreshments in the Quarry Lane Stand.

"I'd like to thank all the SSA members for their support who allow us to continue contributing tens of thousands of pounds to our Football Club.

"I'd also like to especially thank the small band of dedicated volunteers that help us run the administration, fundraising and family friendly away travel roles of SSA so successfully and productively.

"I know John, Carolyn and the rest of the board are appreciative of SSA's work and financial support which is important to us.

"The SSA are in the process of finalising our membership agreement with the club for the new season, further details will be available to members shortly but SSA Amber Membership is always available by emailing info@thessa.org."

Mansfield Town would like to thank the SSA for their incredible support.
