Midfield Strengthened - Lewis Collins Signs

Following Tuesday night’s disappointing 2-4 home reverse at the hands of Blyth Spartans, Trinity boss, Dave Frecklington has wasted little time in strengthening his squad that has become decimated by injuries since the big kick off on August 5th. This weeks’ business sees the arrival of Lewis Collins, on loan from Mansfield Town.

At twenty years of age, Lewis is described as a reliable midfielder, with a range of passing that can unlock the most stubborn of defences. A Grimsby Town academy graduate, Collins impressed enough to be offered a deal at Championship club Reading. The midfielder then spent a six month loan spell in non-league at Farnborough FC, before signing a professional deal and joining Mansfield in the summer on the expiration of his contract with the Royals in the summer of 2016.

Lewis goes into the mix for Saturday’s game with high flying Harrogate Town at the Martin & Co Arena. He is available for sponsor, by contacting Kev Housham for more details on gtfcambassador@gmail.com at only £50 + VAT. Home and Away shirts are available to sponsor. As is goalkeeper Louis Jones, who made his debut last weekend in the 0-1 away win against Nuneaton.

We welcome Lewis to the club. #WelcomeLewis #inittogether #Trinity #GainsboroughFamily
