Baxendale pens permanent deal

Mansfield Town are delighted to announce the permanent signing of James Baxendale on a free transfer.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder initially joined the club on loan from Walsall on 09 January and has now put pen-to-paper on an 18-month deal at One Call Stadium.

Baxendale was voted Man-of-the-Match on his debut against Stevenage after scoring a wonderful second-half goal and has since started in every game, helping the Stags to secure nine points from a possible 15.

Midfield-man moves to Mansfield...

WALSALL Football Club have today reached an agreement with Mansfield Town for the registration of James Baxendale, subject to Football League clearance.

The 23-year old midfielder has enjoyed a fruitful loan spell with the Stags and will now join the League Two side on a permanent deal.

Baxendale has appeared five times in Mansfield colours since moving to the One Call Stadium on 7th January on an initial month long loan.

He marked his debut under Manager Adam Murray with a winning goal against Stevenage and will remain in the East Midlands after signing an 18-month deal.

The club would like to place on record their thanks to James for his service and wish him all the very best for his time at Mansfield Town.
