The 23-year-old has so far scored two goals in three league starts for the Blundell Park club.

Ollie Palmer told Mariners Player:
"It didn't quite work out for me at my time at Mansfield.
It's a massive club, a fantastic club. Adam Murray's brought in his own forwards in on loan. He's a fantastic manager, he's know what he's doing and I wish him all the best.
I'm still a Mansfield player and I want them to do well.
My own personal focus is here at Grimsby. I'm here until the end of the season and I want to get promoted.
(Palmer on no recall clause:) I wanted to give 110% to Grimsby and I didn't want it taken away from me overnight, and be called back.

The player's current loan deal was due to end on February 7 - after the trip to Forest Green.

After already scoring two goals in his five impressive appearances so far for the Mariners, Paul Hurst was keen to see the player stick around for longer.

And Ollie is enjoying his life at Blundell Park and is happy to extend his stay.

"I'm really enjoying myself here - the boys have been fantastic and the fans have been phenomenal so I've got no qualms about staying here - I'm looking forward to it," Palmer said.
