After their 5-0 thrashing of Northampton last Saturday the mighty Wanderers travelled North despite the weather to take on Mansfield in what ended up being an good 0-0 draw. Wanderers battled very well in a game that saw them under pressure, particularly in the second half, from a team desperate for 3 points to improve on their league position.

Wycombe started the match brightly but Mansfield came back into it strongly. Both keepers were brilliant during the first half being called upon on more than one occasion.
Wanderers had two great chances to go ahead in the first half, both coming from Stuart Roberts, desperate to continue his goal scoring form. The first, a great ball from Steve Brown found Stuart Roberts who was unfortunate not to score. His second great chance came after he was clean through on 25 mins forcing a great save from Mansfields keeper. Kevin Pilkington.
Mansfield were unlucky not to get themselves on the score sheet after 35mins, after a foul on Keith Ryan in the penalty area, referee Mason waved play on and the loose ball fell to Lawrence who hit it against the post, Roger Johnson picking up the rebound slammed the ball into the stand.
Lawrence had another chance on 43 mins for Mansfield, dancing through the Wycombe defence he put the ball at the Wycombe keeper who made another fantastic save.
The referee , Mr L Mason, showed three yellow cards in the first half:
Curtis on 19 mins booked for unsporting behaviour after a foul on Dannie Bulman
Gadsby on 36 mins booked for unsporting behaviour after a foul on Frank Talia
Thomson on 38 mins booked for unsporting behaviour after a foul on Iyseden Christie

The second half opened with one substitution being made for Mansfield, player manager Keith Curle replaced himself with Jamie Clarke.
On 50 mins a controversial offside decision halted Craig Fauconbridges' run through at goal.
51 mins saw a great save from Kevin Pilkington , Stuart Roberts went clean through but the large keeper, Pilkington got to the ball first.
Mansfield made their second substitution of the afternoon on 60 mins replacing Liam Lawrence with Colin Larkin
Mansfield Tom Curtis had a shot blocked by Mark Rogers on 69 mins
Wycombe made their first substitution on 69mins, Lawrie Sanchez choosing to replace last weeks hat trick scorer Stuart Roberts with Lewis Cook.
On 71 mins Mansfield made their third and final substitution choosing to replace Craig Disley with Lee Williamson
On 72 mins Colin Larkins cross was cleared by Roger Johnson, the resulting corner on from the right hand side taken by Wayne Corden being cleared once again by Johnson.
On 82 mins Iyseden Christie missed a chance when he side footed the ball into the side netting.
Michael Simpson was shown yellow on 89 mins after a challenge on Lee Williamson.
