The 23-year-old’s current loan deal was due to expire after this Saturday’s home game against Exeter City.

Oliver has scored three goals in 11 appearances since arriving at One Call Stadium - including a thunderbolt strike in our draw with Cheltenham Town, and match-winning goals in our victories over Plymouth Argyle and AFC Wimbledon.

Crewe Alexandra forward Vadaine Oliver has extended his loan with Mansfield Town until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old initially moved to Field Mill in October on a three month emergency loan, scoring three times in his 11 appearances.

Oliver is out of contract at the Alex in the summer after joining the Club in summer 2013 from Lincoln on a two-year-deal.

He began the current campaign in and around the Crewe starting XI, making 12 appearances but scoring just once - albeit in the 2-1 home victory over neighbours Port Vale.

We wish Vadaine all the best for the second half of the season at Mansfield.
