Paul Cox left Mansfield by mutual consent this week, with the Stags 17th in Sky Bet League Two.

Woodhouse made more than 350 senior appearances in his career and played 12 times for Mansfield in 2009.

He also had 29 fights as a professional boxer, with his most recent being a defeat on points to Willie Limond in June.

Woodhouse had his Twitter profile suspended last week after a spat with boxing promoter Frank Warren but the ban was lifted after three days.
