Very disappointed to still be waiting for the green light from Notts County Council to re-commence work on Woburn Lane training site
The council has the ability to help us build an asset for the club and the community of Mansfield, if they so wish.
The dragging of heels, banal details and red tape is tiresome when all we want is to build a real asset for club & community.

John Radford column:
One growing irritation of mine is how slow local government can be when we ask for assistance to aid the club's progress. I'm not asking for special privileges for the club, but we have waited for months now to learn whether we can recommence developments on our training site at Woburn Lane in Pleasley. The finer details surrounding the hold up, to do with digging, are too banal to note, but the red tape needs to be cut quicker by Nottinghamshire County Council so we can start work on a building which will be an asset to our community. When complete, I expect the facility to rival most clubs in this league and above - a facility which will be of real benefit to our first team, ladies and academy teams and the whole community as a whole. Again this would be a huge step in the right direction for us, both in the short and long-term, and the council has the ability to give us the green-light to help us start building this community asset.
