Paul Cox: Impressive CV at Mansfield

Sky Sports understands Mansfield Town manager Paul Cox has emerged as a possible contender for the Blackpool manager's job.

The Championship club are on the look-out for a new boss after Barry Ferguson departed at the end of the season.

Blackpool have already been rebuffed in an approach for Dundee United's Jackie McNamara, as chairman Karl Oyston weighs up his options.

Dutchman Ricardo Moniz, who is in charge of Polish side Lechia Gdansk, is also reported to be on Oyston's shortlist.

But Oyston is also looking at domestic targets and it is understood Cox is one of those under consideration.

Cox has been in charge of Mansfield since 2011 and guided them back into the Football League last year and they finished 11th in League Two this season.
