Chesterfield's Gary Roberts was crowned the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Year at the recent Football League Awards ceremony at The Brewery, London, but here we reveal the other nine players who make up the Top 10 in the division.

The Sky Bet Player of the Year awards were voted for by managers of the clubs in each division. Each manager was asked to list their top five players from this season in order, with the scores added up to get a shortlist and an overall winner.

The Top 10 most voted for players in Sky Bet League 2 are as follows:

1. Gary Roberts (Chesterfield)

Roberts has adapted to life at Chesterfield remarkably well after signing in June 2013. Pulling the strings in the Spireites midfield, his goals and creativity have contributed to a promotion push and a place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final.

2. Sam Winnall (Scunthorpe United)

Another man in his first season with a new club, the 23-year-old runs defences ragged. Winnall's goals have propelled Scunthorpe on a club-record unbeaten run during the campaign.

3. Scott Hogan (Rochdale)

Having made the step-up from Hyde in the summer, Hogan has flourished at Sky Bet League 2 level with regular goals in a season that has seen the youngster attract attention from higher-level clubs.

4. Rhys Murphy (Dagenham and Redbridge)

The Irishman scored one goal in three consecutive matches three times during the first half of the 2013/14 season for the Daggers, repaying the faith shown in him by manager Wayne Burnett.

5. John-Joe O'Toole (Bristol Rovers)

O'Toole has rediscovered his best form at Bristol Rovers, chipping in with important goals and dazzling displays from central midfield.

6. Jimmy Ryan (Chesterfield)

Ryan has slotted seamlessly into the Chesterfield midfield since his arrival from Scunthorpe, helping them in their charge for promotion and Johnstone's Paint Trophy success.

7. David Syers (Scunthorpe United)

Syers' performances from midfield have been a key factor in guiding the Iron into the top three in Sky Bet League 2, linking up between defence and attack with plenty of energy.

8. Tommy Lee (Chesterfield)

Having recently passed 250 games for the Spireites, Lee remains a calm and assured figure between the sticks with his clean sheets helping the club to mount a serious promotion challenge in Sky Bet League 2.

9. Ian Henderson (Rochdale)

Henderson netted a few times while on loan at Rochdale from Colchester United and, having made the move permanent during the summer, he has continued to impress with vital goals that have propelled Dale to the summit of Sky Bet League 2.

10. Sam Clucas (Mansfield Town)

Clucas' contribution from midfield has been vital in Mansfield's first season back in The Football League. The 23-year-old scored in four successive games before netting four times in one FA Cup match.

Clucas (23) came to the club as a winger from Conference club Hereford United as a winger last summer but has since scored 13 goals and been used as a striker.

Manager Paul Cox said: “I am over the moon for Sam and he deserves all the accolades he gets.

“He has done well in League Two this season, yet he came here not just from non-League but from a club below mid-table in the Conference.

“Since then he has come on leaps and bounds. Sam is a joy to work with and works extremely hard.

“He has even been played out of position for most of the season. I don’t think he is a centre forward. As he has showed the last couple of games, when he comes on to play on the flanks he is sometimes unplayable.

“This is a feather in the cap of the club, of me as the manager and of the player himself.

“He is probably one of three or four players we are going to have to work very hard to keep this summer.”

Chesterfield’s Gary Roberts was crowned the overall Sky Bet League Two Player of the Year at the Football League Awards ceremony at The Brewery, London.

The awards were voted for by managers of the clubs in each division. Each manager was asked to list their top five players from this season in order, with the scores added up to get a shortlist and an overall winner.

Joining Roberts and Clucas in the top 10 were Sam Winnall (Scunthorpe United), Scott Hogan (Rochdale), Rhys Murphy (Dagenham and Redbridge), John-Joe O’Toole (Bristol Rovers), Jimmy Ryan (Chesterfield), David Syers (Scunthorpe United), Tommy Lee (Chesterfield) and Ian Henderson (Rochdale).
