FIXTURE NEWS: FAC REPLAY DATE AND DARTFORD GAME

If the Stags draw the FA Cup tie at Workington on Saturday, then the replay will be the following Thursday. This is because replays have to be played within the following week, but the One Call Stadium is being used for an England U18 international against Italy on the Wednesday and cannot be used for two nights before that to protect the pitch.
If there is a replay, the live TV game against Dartford on the Friday night will therefore have to be moved. A kick in the teeth for Premier Sports TV who are doing their best to give coverage to the Blue Square Bet Premier, yet not for the first time could end up being messed around by the Football Association. - Martin |
