Capacity reduced at Mansfield Town
chad.co.uk, Thursday 20 October 2011 Nottinghamshire County Council has reduced the capacity at Mansfield Town's Field Mill ground from 8,417 to 7,574 following a review of the way the club manages safety. http://www.chad.co.uk/sport/football/mansfield-town-fc/capacity_reduced_at_mansfield_town_1_3892949?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed The council says that the club 'has co-operated with the review and have themselves volunteered to reduce the ground's capacity'. The County Council has taken the action following advice from the Safety Advisory Group (SAG), which is made up of representatives from the County Council, Nottinghamshire Police, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, East Midlands Ambulance Service, Mansfield District Council and other organisations. Wendy Harnan-Kajzer, chairman of SAG, said: “We are satisfied with the overall safety level of the ground, but there are a few minor issues which the club needs to resolve before its capacity can be fully restored.” ------------- |
