COMMENTARY LINK AND TV DETAILS: NEWPORT GAME
9th September 2011 19:53

If you can't get to Field Mill on Saturday for the game against Newport, then you can listen to full match commentary on StagsPlayer/mansfieldtown.net. Commentary will be by Nigel Pinnick and Steve Hartshorn (pictured below at the Bath City game, photo by Dan Westwell).
To subscribe to StagsPlayer, follow this link. If you are a subscriber already, follow this link and sign in. The commentary will be available to Mac users.

StagsPlayer costs £35.99 for 12 months. A proportion of this money goes to MTFC.

You get commentary of all Stags home games.
Here is an example of the commentary - a segment from the middle of the second half of the Luton game. We can guarantee you a passionate commentary.

For some games at Field Mill, BBC local radio covering the opposition provides commentary free-to-air. When it is, details are provided here ---> http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13629210.stm

Commentary of Stags away games is provided free to air by BBC Radio Nottingham online. There is no point in streaming away commentary via the StagsPlayer feed, as it is easily accessible via the BBC Sport website. However for away cup games, BBC Nottingham does not always provide commentary, and when it doesn't, we ensure we provide it on StagsPlayer (even when there were literally zero facilities available, as at Halifax last season).

Video highlights of every Stags league and cup game, home and away, are provided free to view on mansfieldtown.net. We took the decision to make these free to view, rather than just available to StagsPlayer subscribers. Some other clubs have handled that differently. Video interviews with the manager and players are also available free to view on mansfieldtown.net, rather than just available to StagsPlayer subscribers.

In summary, for someone who doesn't attend many home games, listening to the commentary on StagsPlayer costs about £1.50 per game.

The Newport game will also be shown live on Premier Sports TV, available at £7.99 to people with Sky digital satellite (channel 433).
