It was announced at the Conference AGM that Louis Briscoe was in the Blue Square Premier team of the season. Briscoe had a clean sweep at the end of season awards and was also named in the division's team of the year on Saturday. After learning that his name was amongst the elite 11, Briscoe said: "I wasn't expecting to be named in the team of the year but I'm really pleased. "It's been a good season for me. I've knuckled down and enjoyed my football but my aim next season will be to score more goals." Meanwhile midfielder Lee Stevenson was named in the Blue Square Bet North team of the year with former club Eastwood Town. The Reds had Josh Law, Connor Franklin, Aden Flint and Liam Hearn all named in the 11, along with Eastwood Town's Lee Stevenson, who has since joined Mansfield Town. Winger Louis Briscoe, who was the Stags' top scorer with 19 goals, was named in the Blue Square Bet Premier team of the season. Former Eastwood manager Paul Cox, now at the Stags, said: "I think both Lee and Louis deserved their nominations. "They are players who were released by Sheffield Wednesday and Port Vale respectively and have worked their way back up in non-league to a position where they can showcase their talent."
