WORKSOP Town have made their FA Trophy clash with Mansfield Town an all ticket affair.

With the crowd restricted to 1,500 at Cannon Park, Stags will get 800 tickets for game on 11th December, leaving 700 tickets for Tigers fans.

Club secretary Keith Ilett told the Guardian the logistics were being finalised this week.

“We're meeting this week to sort it all out and we're hoping to have the tickets on sale on Monday,” he said.

“Everything is agreed with Mansfield, and I've spoken to the police - the crowd will be segregated and we're getting in professional stewards.”

“Everything will be planned,” he added.

He also confirmed that Worksop Town season ticket holders are likely to be given priority when it comes to ticket sales.

The Stags have been drawn away to Worksop Town in the draw for FA Trophy round 1.

The game will be played on 11 December, 3pm

Worksop play in the Evo-Stik Premier League - the same league as FC Halifax Town, who the Stags played in the FA Cup 4th qualifying round. Worksop are 6th, and managed by Martin McIntosh, former Stags defender.

Worksop play their home games at Retford United FC, Cannon Park. Fortunately Retford are away to Matlock on Dec 11 in the Evo-Stik Premier League.

We have not played Worksop in a cup or league game since we joined the Football League in 1931. We played them in the FA Cup in 1920, losing 8-3 at home in a replay of the 5th qualifying round, and several times in the Midland League between 1921 and 1929. In fact, in those last fixtures in 1929, we beat Worksop 8-3 away and 4-2 at home. We have of course played Worksop several times in pre-season friendlies since then.
