Blue Square are delighted to announce an extension on their deal to sponsor the three Football Conference divisions. The new seven-figure three-year deal will extend the original sponsorship, which took effect in the 2007/08 season, until the end of the 2012/13 league campaign.

As part of the new deal the Blue Square Premier will now be renamed the BLUE SQUARE BET PREMIER, the Blue Square North will now be known as the BLUE SQUARE BET NORTH and the Blue Square South will be known as the BLUE SQUARE BET SOUTH. The renaming will take effect from next season (2010/11).

Speaking at the signing of the new deal the Football Conference Chairman Brian Lee said "We're absolutely delighted to renew the sponsorship with Blue Square.

"It's been a good three years and we look forward to another three seasons with this important investment at this level of the game."

After the signing Blue Square Managing Director Mark Jones spoke about the continued involvement of the company within the grassroots game.

"We've been a proud sponsor since 2007 and we're delighted to renew and make an ongoing investment into football through the Conference clubs" he said.

Special guest at the signing was England World Cup legend Sir Geoff Hurst, who will also be representing Blue Square at the end of season Blue Square Premier promotion play-off final at Wembley on May 16th.

Hurst said "It's great to be involved with the sponsorship and I'm delighted to be working with Blue Square. The Conference league is vital to the development of players and football in this country as a whole."

Speaking about his appearance at the play-off final Hurst added: "I never turn down the chance to go back to Wembley and I'm really looking forward to what promises to be an exciting occasion."

Along with Hurst's involvement, Blue Square have launched a special 'Hat-trick Campaign' which rewards new customers with a topical £66 worth of free bets - to coincide with the new deal and the forthcoming World Cup.

Fans of Blue Square clubs will continue to have the opportunity to register with Blue Square under their club name and earn money for their team every time they place a bet.
