The West Stand will be formally renamed at 12.30pm prior to Stags' home match against Tamworth on Saturday March 13.
Greaves led the club to Freight Rover Trophy glory in 1987 and passed away in January last year, aged 76.
Chairman Andrew Perry said: "We hope this is seen as a gesture to help keep the memory of a legend alive.
"Mr Greaves was arguably our greatest ever manager and led us to one of the club's finest hour at Wembley.
"By honouring Mr Greaves in this way, we are putting another piece in the jigsaw which is helping to put the soul back into Mansfield Town Football Club."

The West Stand will be formally re-named at 12.30pm prior to Stags' home match against Tamworth on Saturday 13th March.

Mr Greaves who led the club to Freight Rover Trophy glory in 1987, passed away in January last year, aged 76.

Chairman AndreADVERTISEMENTw Perry told the club's website http://www.mansfieldtown.net: "We hope this is seen as a gesture to help keep the memory of a legend alive.

"Mr Greaves was arguably our greatest ever manager and led us to one of the club's finest hour at Wembley.

"By honouring Mr Greaves in this way, we are putting another piece in the jigsaw which is helping to put the soul back into Mansfield Town Football Club."

Ian Greaves becomes the third 'Stags legend' to be honoured by the club since the new owners' takeover in July 2008. It follows the re-naming of two hospitality suites at Field Mill after former defenders Kevin Bird and Sandy Pate.

The stand will be sponsored by NAPIT (National Association for Professional Inspectors and Testers), based in Pleasley Vale.

The company's Chief Operating Officer Martin Bruno said: "Ian Greaves is a very well respected figure in the game and we were pleased to take the opportunity to sponsor his stand.

"Our market is national-based but we would like to have a bigger presence locally. This is our way of putting something back into the local community and raising our profile."

Former Stags' players who were managed Mr Greaves have also been invited to attend the opening ceremony.

From the above date forthwith the West Stand shall be named as the Ian Greaves Stand sponsored by NAPIT.
