Mansfield duo suspended

Mansfield boss Stuart Watkiss and Scott Sellars have been banned following their dismissals during the 3-2 defeat by Wigan.

Watkiss has received a three-match touchline ban and a £500 fine.

Sellars, who has already served a three-game ban for the incident, faces another one-game suspension and a £200 fine for comments he made to match officials.

Watkiss will be banished to the stands for the games against Swindon (October 26) and Cardiff (October 29) and the LDV Vans Trophy tie against Crewe (October 22).

Sellars will miss the clash with Swindon.

Watkiss told mansfieldtown.net , "I knew it was coming because I'd pleaded guilty. I knew I would get a fine but I'm disappointed about getting the touchline ban. I think three games is a little harsh for my first offence, but I'll have to take my punishment and just get on with it."
