Holdsworth's mixed feelings over Stags call-ups
Evening Post

MANSFIELD Town boss David Holdsworth admits he has mixed feelings about three of his young starlets being called up to the England C team.

He is thrilled that Scott Garner, Kyle Nix and Louis Briscoe will have the honour of representing their country after being named in a 16-man squad to face Hungary on September 15.
But at the same time he is worried that any of the three could pick up an injury from the match sandwiched in between important games with Stevenage and Rushden and Diamonds.
"I'm delighted for the three of them but likewise I just hope they come back fit and well," said Holdsworth.
"You can't stop anyone going and I wouldn't want to – it's great they've got the opportunity to represent their country.
"It is an opportunity for them to play with some good players and I want them to be ambassadors for this club and do things correctly.
"My only fear is that they come back with an injury because we have very important games around then."
