Strong striker Jason Bradley has today signed a one year deal with us, making him David Holdsworth's 12th signing of the close season.

The 20 year old has been on trial with us for a month and played in Saturday's 2-0 victory at Newport County.

Bradley began his career at Sheffield Wednesday and was loaned out to Unibond Premier outfit Buxton during season 2007/08 where he netted 18 goal in 16 appearances, becoming their leading scorer.

After leaving Wednesday, he was quickly snapped up by Darlington and has now joined us after a four week trial.

He told mansfieldtown.net shortly after signing: "The month has gone very well and I am very pleased to sign. I have come here to fight for my place. I know I need to prove myself.

"I am a big, quick, strong and direct forward. I like to make it a torrid 90 minutes for opposing defenders and most importantly -get on the scoresheet."

Bradley used to watch us regularly as a youngster being close friends with Liam Lawrence.

Bradley attracted by Stags' ambition
Evening Post, July 21, 2009

JASON Bradley believes he has joined a club 'on the move' after signing for Mansfield Town following a successful trial.
The striker is the 12th new face to arrive at Field Mill this summer – and likely to be the last. Bradley, 20, was with League Two Darlington last season and has impressed boss David Holdsworth with his pace, strength and aerial power.
He will compete with Rob Duffy, Kyle Perry, Rob Duffy and Jake Speight for a starting place and made his first appearance as a substitute in the 2-0 win at Newport on Saturday.
"I had no doubts about dropping out of the League to join a club like Mansfield," said Bradley.
"They are really on the move and looking to get back into the Football League and I want to be part of that."
