JOIN PLEASLEY STAGS
23rd July 2009 14:06

Andy Perry has given his backing to the brand new Mansfield Town supporters group, The Pleasley Stags, which has been created this week. Perry was posting on the Stagsnet message board.

Stagsnet wishes good luck to Pleasley Stags.

Pleasley Stags are now looking for new members and ways of raising funds to help their beloved club.

And to kick off their activities the organisation will hold an official launch night with buffet and a visit from Stags chairman Andy Perry on Friday 24th at the White Swan pub in the village.

Club chairman Chris Revill said "This is very exciting for the people of Pleasley and Mansfield, we already have a fast growing membership and have great ideas for the future.

"We want to host multiple fundraising nights at various local pubs and venues, helping to raise funds for our beloved club, having a lot of fun along the way.

"This will also help bring some business to publicans in the area who have shown excellent support."

The launch of Pleasley Stags is taking place this Friday (24th July) at The White Swan in Pleasley. It'd be absolutely great if folks could come and show their support for this new supporters group as we've all got the best intentions of the Stags at heart.

It's all about us helping get our club back where it belongs and beyond, to hopefully fly through the leagues under the guidance of the new regime.

Mr Perry will be present at the meeting, so a chance to have a chat with the Chairman is also available. The naming of our groups badge will be decided by the folks present on the night. Raffle prizes are being made available, with the club kindly donating some prizes and lots of other prizes available. The Membership Number 1, will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, so if you fancy being the first Member then you have the chance to win that.

And finally, for those of you who are not yet tempted by that, a buffet will be out for you all to stuff your faces and a fine selection of cold beers are on offer.

Everybody is welcome, so come and have a look at what we're about, a pint a chat and most importantly the Stags.

The evening will be kicking off at approximately 8pm. See you all there.
