Stags safety officer steps down
Evening Post, May 14, 2009

MANSFIELD Town's safety officer Les Norman is standing down from his position at the end of the month.
He is looking to devote more time to his full-time job at Nottinghamshire County Council.
Norman has been working over the past two years to improve the standards of safety across the club, along with the quality of the stewarding.
He will work closely with the new safety officer in the first few weeks of his/her appointment.
"Les has been instrumental in the improvement of safety at Field Mill, both on a matchday and during the week," said Stags chairman Andy Perry.
"He played a major role in the re-raising of the stadium's capacity and has worked hard to re-build our relationship with the Safety Advisory Group.
"The common-sense used by the stewards on the final day of last season was testament to Les' abilities.
"We thank Les for his efforts and wish him all the very best for the future."
