CHAD.co.uk, 05July2008 MANSFIELD Town is 'buzzing' - and that is official! Less than 48 hours after a trio of local businessmen bought the Stags from Keith Haslam, the 'feelgood' factor is already back. The new owners have opened up Field Mill this weekend to sell season tickets - which first went on sale on Saturday morning - and gave fans the chance to meet the new owners and new manager Billy McEwan. And during the four hours of sale on Saturday, 171 season tickets were sold. Field Mill will again be open on Sunday, 10am-2pm, and late on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings next week. Some of the new owners will again be at Field Mill on Sunday to meet the fans. Discounts of around 10% are available for those buying tickets in the first week. Click here for details of prices. New chairman Andy Perry - who bought the club with fellow directors Andy Saunders and Steve Middleton on Thursday evening - told the club's official website mansfieldtown.net: "It has been a day of smiles. Every person who has been in the ground today were smiling from ear to ear. "It has been an amazing atmosphere. Everyone was buzzing in the executive lounge and fans who bought their season tickets this morning also came in for a drink and chatted to Billy McEwan. "After our first open day of season ticket sales, I really appreciated the privileged position I am in. "All the staff at the club have pulled together over the last 24 hours and will also be helping towards another successful day tomorrow. Fellow director Andy Saunders told Chad: "Everything is positive and it has been a really, really good day. "The fans have been great, really the message is we will back them if they back us." -------------- |
