KEITH'S 'BAD BIT OF BUSINESS'
Evennig Post, 03 September 2002 It seemed like a good idea at the time to Stags chairman Keith Haslam. Mansfield Town wanted a new scoreboard for Field Mill. And Leicester City had one going spare at their Filbert Street ground, following the move to the Walkers Stadium. So Haslam paid £8,000 for it. It was only afterwards that he discovered the cost of moving it up the M1 and installing it. "We worked it out that it would have cost £25,000. We have had to write it off as a bad bit of business," Haslam said. "I've asked a couple of people if they want to buy it but I haven't heard back from them." |
