MANSFIELD Town's next home League fixture, against Wrexham, has been postponed because of international call-ups.
The Welsh club asked the Football League to call the game off because five players have been selected for international matches that weekend, Saturday 17th November.

On Tuesday evening the League agreed to the request.

The match is unlikely to be rescheduled for the following Tuesday as any FA Cup replays involving the two sides would be played then - and Wrexham may also have played on international duty midweek.

Wrexham's Steve Evans has been called up the senior Welsh squad and Mike Williams and Neil Taylor will feature in the Welsh U21 squad.

Two further players, Mike Carvill and the on-loan Robbie Garrett, have been selected for the Northern Irleland U21s.

Also, Marc Williams and Kai Edwards are on standby for the Wales U21 squad.

The match had been earmarked as one possible for a reduced admission by incoming Stags owner James Derry. He has pledged to make his first home League match in charge just £5, once the takeover is completed.
