Restrictions remain as the Rams hit town

PREMIERSHIP Derby County are expected to bring their big guns to Field Mill this Saturday (3pm) as Stags belatedly get their home pre-season programme underway.
After losing the home clash with Leicester City to a waterlogged pitch last Friday, Stags earned a 1-1 draw in their first competitive action at Belper Town on Monday night.

Now they turn their attentions to the promoted Rams and manager Billy Dearden is hoping to have central midfielders Lee Bell and Stephen Dawson signed by then.

Dawson has finally agreed to sign his new contract later this week while former Crewe man Bell is mulling over a contract offer put to him this week.

With the Leicester game being off, unfortunately this Saturday's game will be the one monitored by the county's Safety Advisory Group as Stags bid to lift the capacity restrictions imposed on them after stewarding problems last season.

The Rams can only have an allocation of 955 tickets but if Derby play a full first team there is a chance more fans could come.

"We are hoping there won't be any problems and early indications are that there is not that much interest at the Derby end as they had only sold a couple of hundred advance tickets," said Stags chairman James Derry.

"It shouldn't be an issue though we are aware that a lot could turn up on the day.

"We did speak to the SAG people but they were not prepared to lift the restriction for Saturday.

"Hopefully it won't be a problem."

Following the cancellation of the Leicester friendly, adults who pre-purchased all three home pre-season matches and received a £5 discount, can now receive a £5 voucher which can be used at any time during the season.

All customers who purchased a single Leicester match ticket will be entitled to the appropriate refund (£10 adult/£5 concessions) by way of a voucher.

These vouchers can be used at any time throughout the season at Field Mill and may be used to get discounted admission to a home match, League or cup, or can be spent on any item at the club shop.

To receive the discount voucher, please bring your Leicester City ticket along with your proof of payment to the ticket office and you will then be handed your voucher.

As Chad went to press Dearden was still hoping to fix up a behind-closed-doors friendly with someone today or tomorrow.
Stags' pre-season programme continues next week with a game at Alfreton Town on Monday (7.45pm).

Stags Fans can still take advantage of a £20 season ticket discount by joining the SSA for season 2007/08.

Adults sitting in the Quarry Lane Stand can also slash £3 per game off matchday admission, making it £15 not £18, by joining the SSA and purchasing a voucher book.

You can join the SSA at the ticket office at the club, in the X Bar before the Derby friendly on Saturday, by post at SSA, PO Box 6430, Kirkby, Notts NG17 8RA or online at http://www.stagsnet.net.

SSA will also be selling their popular brand new full colour 2007/08 season calendars in the X Bar from 1pm before Saturday's friendly.
