Stags open with Brentford trip
CHAD website, 14 June 2007

MANSFIELD Town kick off the new season with a tough trip to relegated Brentford on Saturday, 11th August.
But of more worry to the Stags will be getting their current capacity restrictions sorted out at Field Mill as the first home visitors are Lincoln City on Saturday, 18th August with arch-rivals Chesterfield also due early on Saturday, 15th September.

Mansfield have had their home capacity slashed by half by the county's Safety Advisory Group and this will be reviewed in pre-season games.

Stags travel to League new boys Morecambe on Bank Holiday Saturday, 25th August which will see many Stags make it a Bank Holiday weekend by the sea.

The return game at Chesterfield is on Christmas Saturday, 22nd December.

And the local derbies with Notts County are at Field Mill on Saturday, 20th October and at Meadow Lane on Saturday, 29th March.

Boxing Day will see Peterborough United at Field Mill while on New Year's Day Stags head down the M1 to Milton Keynes Dons.

Both games with Hereford United are midweek as is the trip to Lincoln on Tuesday, 29th January.

Stags have three out of four games in April at home before ending the campaign with a trip to promoted Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday, 3rd May.

Stags hit Chad with last-minute fixtures ban
CHAD website, 14 June 2007

STAGS supremo Keith Haslam today withdrew permission for the Chad to use the club's fixtures for the forthcoming season in this week's newspaper.
Chad has to pay a large sum of money each year to advertise the club's fixtures and also gain a letter of permission from the club to do so.

That permission was given last month but today, on the day the fixtures were released, Chad were informed the club had withdrawn that permission.

Mr Haslam has also withdrawn permission for the Nottingham Evening Post and Football Post to use the fixtures too.
