REET MOVE `FOR FITNESS`

REET MOVE 'FOR FITNESS'
EVENING POST, 29 March 2007

Danny Reet's move from Mansfield to Rochdale on loan is designed to improve his fitness, Stags assistant boss Paul Holland today insisted.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a golden autumn as he scored seven goals in forming a useful partnership with Richard Barker.

But following injuries and loss of form, he has fallen out of favour with his weight being a particular concern to the Mansfield management.

Assistant boss Paul Holland hopes the temporary move to Spotland will help Reet get back in shape and rediscover his best form.

"There was a discussion between him and the staff at the club because he has not figured as much as he and we would like," he said.

"Hopefully this way he will get games under his belt. He needs to be playing to keep up his fitness."
