Mansfield Town 4-3 Plymouth Argyle
The Stags fell behind to a 24th minute header by Micky Evans after an inswinging corner from right by-line taken left-footed by Brian McGlinchey which found Micky Evans at the near post to head home. However, just 8 minutes later Andy White put the home side level after heading home Lee Williamsons cross. Shortly after the break Craig Disley put the Stags ahead with another header and the lead was further extended just 4 minutes later when debutant Colin Larkin fired home after a Sellars pass. It got even better for the Stags on 67 minutes when Andy White scored his 2nd after another Sellars pass. However Stags fans nerves were not helped by two late goals from Argyle, first of all Friio managed what was thought a late consolation for the visitors but then in injury time Lowndes scored to give the Stags an anxious final minute or so.
