Sellars wants success
Teamtalk
Veteran Premiership star Scott Sellars is keeping an open mind over his future after scoring on his full Mansfield debut on Monday.
The 26-year-old former Leeds, Blackburn, Newcastle and Bolton midfielder has signed until the end of the season at Field Mill and said: "I came here with an open mind when Mansfield said they wanted to have a look at me and from day one I have been really impressed.
"The quality of the young players here really opened my eyes and I knew it would be a good opportunity for me to end the season here and hopefully help them get up.
"I began the season playing in Denmark which was a good experience, but came home for personal reasons.
"I also picked up an injury and Port Vale gave me the chance to get fit. Now I am here and fighting for a place.
"When you get to my age the most important thing is enjoyment. I have done everything in my career I am going to do at the top level. I don't know how long I can stay playing - you never count your chickens.
"But right now if myself and the other more experienced players can help the gaffer by talking to the young lads here, hopefully I can play my part in some success."
