Perry planning to stand in next council election
CHAD website, 27 February 2007 MANSFIELD Town FC's main sponsor Andy Perry has confirmed he intends to stand as an Independent Forum candidate in May's local council elections. The man behind Perry Electrical, who has previously revealed his intention to launch a takeover bid for the Stags, told Chad he hopes to stand for Mansfield District Council's Pleasley Hill ward — although he has not yet officially been selected by the group. "I think this could be a good step forward for me," he said. "I have been involved with Mansfield 2020 and obviously the football club for a while, and I am ready to get involved in some of the other important issues for Mansfield." |
