Buxton to skipper Stags Stags' boss Billy Dearden has put his faith in Centre Half Jake Buxton to lead his side to victory on saturday at Hereford. "I needed to appoint a skipper for the weekend so after watching the lads in training i decided to offer the challenge to 'Bucko'. I know that Alex (John-Baptiste) has done the job before but he did not give me the feeling that he was in too much of a hurry to do it again so i chose Buxton. "Jake is still young and i think he was in shock when i spoke to him about this but i believe he is a confident young man who will do his best to lead the players to a win at the weekend" Dearden told the official website today |
