BBC Radio Nottingham can exclusively reveal that the Mansfield Town Chairman Peter Lee has left the club. Mr. Lee was appointed as Chairman at the end of last season in a part-time capacity. It was said at the time that he would work one day a week, but hasn't been seen at Field Mill for some time. Chief Executive Keith Haslam confirmed the news to BBC Radio Nottingham today, adding that he's already had discussions with other people regarding the position. Mr. Haslam went on to say that the job became too much for Peter to deal with because of negative publicity caused by certain sections of supporters, and this created more work that Peter had anticipated. It's not known for how long Mr. Lee has been vacant from the role but it is thought to be more than a week, and it's also not certain who Keith Haslam will bring in to replace him.
