Shrewsbury away is season-opener
CHAD website, 22 June 2006
Mansfield Town will kick off their new season away at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, 5th August.
It will be their last ever trip to Gay Meadow as the Shrews will move to a new ground for the following season.
Relegated Milton Keynes Dons (Tuesday, 8th) and Stockport County (Saturday, 12th) then visit Field Mill before a tough trip to Grimsby and a home local derby against Lincoln end a tough first month.
The return at Lincoln is on Saturday, 3rd March while the eagerly-anticipated clashes with neighbours Notts County will be at Field Mill on Saturday, 7th October and Meadow Lane on Saturday, 10th March.
Once again with little regard for supporters, the Football League have decided Stags will play away at Darlington on Boxing Day.
New Year's Day visitors to Field Mill are relegated Hartlepool United while Easter will see Mansfield at home to Bristol Rovers on Saturday, 7th April and away to Peterborough on Monday, 9th.
Those looking to add new grounds to their list of those visited will be looking forward to Accrington Stanley away on Saturday, 30th December, and Milton Keynes away on Tuesday, 20th February.
The season ends with a trip to Bury on Saturday, 5th May.
